Amory Sivertson is a piano-based singer/songwriter from Cleveland, OH. She currently lives in Boston, MA and is attempting to spread her music across the greater northeast (and the WORLD, of course). She combines indie and folk music into something Em Magazine describes as “quirky, yet beautiful and moving.”
Amory released her debut full-length album La Di Da in 2008 with the help of producer Mike Moschetto. The lead single, “Beautiful,” garnered an EVVY Award for Outstanding Original Song. After some time spent traveling in Europe, she released her second album How to Run Away in March 2010 through Wax On Felt Records. The record received critical praise, with Performer Magazine calling it “a sweet and genuine album that will have fans singing along and skipping down the street.”
Amory spent the summer of 2010 touring the US to promote How to Run Away and is now preparing to release her third full-length album, Human, also via Wax On Felt. Boston’s WERS 88.9FM said, “Sivertson recalls the liberty of Joni Mitchell, the catchy hooks of Regina Spektor and the orchestral leanings of Feist, while still creating a fresh new sound.” Look out for the new album in December 2011!
